Outstanding service! We sat in the front room where the coffee counter was. You place your order at the front counter when you sit here and the servers bring your food to you. I changed my order from hamburger to sausage in my slinger skillet about 5 minutes after a placed it. The kind ladies at the front totally took care of the change with a smile on their faces. You don’t see service like that too much anymore. The food and coffee were great. A nice gem in the small town of Waterloo. Go give them a try!

This is a really great place in downtown waterloo. On the right side there is coffe shop with a drive thru service available. To the left there is a sit restaurant for breakfast and lunch. They seem to be busier for breakfast than lunch most days. The coffe shop side has nice fresh muffins and house made granola bars that I highly recommend. If you are intown definitely stop by. You will enjoy the experience and the food.

The coffee is absolutely amazing! Cute restaurant, friendly and fast service. 10 out 10 recommend. Worth the 30 min drive from STL.

This a staple for us on our annual IL golf trip. Walking distance from Sunset motel. Great service, solid menu with plenty of choices. Friendly staff, timely service. Great place all around, a smidge on the small side but even that is a stretch as any sort of gripe. It’s only small because it’s popular.

If you don’t have time to eat; at least stop and grab some amazing fair trade organic coffee! I have eaten at the Bean Tree Cafe and love the food, but during my latest visit to Waterloo I didn’t have a lot of time. But I was happy to grab some coffee. The coffee is whole bean, so if you only use ground coffee like myself, they will grind it there for you. Super friendly staff. Great coffee choices. A small business I am thrilled to support.

Super cute breakfast spot / coffee shop! Great food, great drinks, great service. Toasted Marshmallow Chai was amazing! We got the Southwest omelet with hash browns and a pancake, the 1-2-3 (potato pancake, 2 eggs, and 3 strips of bacon), and a cup of the blueberry chia oatmeal - everything was great but the Southwest stole the show! Highly recommend 10/10

The menu looked so amazing it was difficult to choose but we landed on getting an original skillet (breakfast hash) and the blueberry lemon (curd) pancakes to share. We also added a side of cheesy grits (topped with bacon) and all items were absolutely delicious! The staff was attentive and the manager/owner was checking in on us as well, ensuring we enjoyed everything and thanked us for visiting and offering feedback. Atmosphere was warm and cozy with a coffee shop side (for more the to-go’s) and a dining side. I saw some other orders coming out as well and it all looked amazing. I can’t wait to go back to try more items on their menu! Plus, I love the feel of downtown Waterloo and it’s just a short drive from one of my favorite places to hike! Note: forgot to take photos because I was too busy digging in.

The coffee, the service, the breakfast skillet!!! The coffee is to die for! And let’s be honest, so is the breakfast skillet. Limited seating but WELL worth a little wait. We can’t wait to go back and bring home some of their coffee beans. Wish we lived closer. We would definitely be regulars.
